Is it possible to go into stealth mode on Xbox live?

I don’t see why you shouldn’t be able to hide from certain friends on Xbox live. Sometimes I only want to play with 1 friend without making my other friends upset. If you know of a way please let me know. Thanks!

I have a vista desktop and an xbox 360. I dont have a modem/router in my house and use my Sprint Card for wireless conection (due to the location of my house we cannot recieve high speed). I have an ethernet cable.

It’s actually Halo 2 and when we try to load one of the levels (Sacred Icon) it says that the level failed to load and that the disk may be dirty or damaged. So i was wondering if there is a way to fix the disk because I know its not the Xbox cause I’ve cleaned it numerous times. Can someone help please?
If the disk is doomed and it can’t be fixed then it’s okay, I understand.

I was going to link together two xbox 360s for my party, but i want to stay connected to xbox live through my main xbox 360, is it possible?

I was wondering if it were possible to play xbox 360 games that I downloaded through my computer. I mean connecting my computer to my xbox 360 through maybe a usb cord and making the xbox 360 act as if it put in the disk of the downloaded file. Thanks in advance.

Can you play dragonica (from gpotato Europe) with an xbox 360 controller or a joystick? If so, what do I need to do it?

There are a number of reasons for the necessary repair for Xbox 360. The most common and popular of these reasons is overheating, which is understandable given the expected excitement of serious gamers to play heavily using one of the best video game consoles in the market these days.

Like any technological gadget, the Xbox 360 heats up whenever it is in use. After some time, the temperature inside the physical packaging of the video game console can reach ultra high levels because of insufficient cooling and rest. The Xbox 360 is constructed in such a way that when overheating occurs, stress builds up between the motherboard and the delicate ball grid array solder joints of the GPU and CPU, the result of which is breakage. The stress is further aggravated by a lead-free solder that is more brittle than the older tin or lead solder used in past models.

Another reason why for the repair for Xbox 360 is the incident of unplayable disc error. This error, according to a number of reports, is limited to the Hitachi CD or DVD ROM drives that took the place of the Toshiba drives that were used in earlier models. The unplayable disc error message usually comes after a series of loud, grinding noises. Soon afterward, the system returns to the dashboard and any disc put in the unit will no longer be accommodated; the unplayable disc error message comes on display.

Repair for Xbox 360 is also called for when there is loss of video output. Incidents of this have been heavily reported in the past year. Such problem is manifested by a blank video output accompanied by an audio output that is properly functioning. Complete video failure is preceded by graphical glitches, such as changes in colors and a static state.

There are many other reasons why an Xbox 360 may require immediate repair. For best results, go to the nearest Microsoft repair shop.

When a Microsoft Xbox 360 console experiences a “general hardware failure”,three flashing red lights appear on the front of the console, known by gamers as the infamous “Red Ring of Death” (RROD for short).Exactly how many users have experienced this problem is unknown to the public, although estimates of nearly a 33% general hardware failure rate for the launch consoles has been reported. If you are like me, your trustworthy Xbox has let you down and glares at you with its red eyes.Luckily, there are temporary fixes that will get you going for another week or so.Here we I will discuss the towel trick and another last resort trick in the tips section.

Find an Xbox 360 (preferably your own) with red lights blinking.Remove any disc, hard drive,AV cables, Ethernet cable and USB cables.Keep the power supply intact.Get 2-3 medium size towels.

First, wrap one towel horizontally around the Xbox as if it were standing, covering the fans and disc tray. Then wrap another around the top where the hard drive is located and the bottom vents. Repeat as deemed necessary.Once fully covered, turn on the Xbox. (It will be hard to find the button at first, but make sure you DO NOT press the disc tray button.Keep it on for 30 minutes to one hour (SEE: Tips)Once you think its done, turn it off and unwrap towels.

This is the tricky part, you have to decide whether to turn it on immediately or let it cool down first. Either way WILL WORK, but not both.I try to turn it on right away.If you choose to turn it on immediately and receive the red lights again, wait for 15-20 minutes and turn it on again. If you still get the red lights, start all over again. When done correctly, you may turn on your Xbox and get pwned in Halo 3 for about one to two weeks.

Tips – More towels the better!

Depending on the season (i.e. summer, winter) you may have to heat it longer more or less.I find that the Xbox will last much less during the winter (1-3 days),DONT LEAVE IT ON FOREVER! But,the longer you leave it on,the better chance it will work. Dont keep your Xbox near an open window, direct sunlight or a AC vent.Play at least once a day for one hour to keep the GPU connected to the motherboard. If it didnt work the first time, stand it up, slap the bottom side (as if horizontal) 2-3 time and turn it on.Keep a fire extinguisher handy. I guaranteed temporary fix is to leave it on until it automatically shuts off the fans. You can tell if this happened if only two lights are blinking.

ALTERNATIVE – I have tried this myself, and it works SOMETIMES:unplug power supply from Xbox and outlet.Wait 3 hours, plug back in and get pwned in Halo 3.

I want to play multiplayer xbox live with two controllers from one xbox, like split screen on xbox live. Can anyone tell me how to do it if it is possible?

I have an Xbox 360 and treated myself to a classic original Xbox game (Spiderman 2). Typically, my Xbox Live subscription has just run out and I’m being told I need a media update to play the game. Is there any way of obtaining this update without having to spend £30 again?
